"------don't ever forget that it is best to listen much, speak little____."
That is part of verse 19, James, chapter 1.
It is easy to read the whole book of James in just a few minutes, and easy to reread it quickly and often.
It is full of answers to the question,"a sin to avoid?"
Talking non-stop about myself is pointed out by James as a big fault of mine, especially the about myself part, and I can add bragging on our family.
I wonder if it is because I am old and the most important thing is our family? Or, am I just trying to excuse myself?
James adds "don't be angry."
Well, sometimes I talk and talk and I do become angry about some people. So, it is sin, not just "talking," but a sin to avoid.
I do intend to stay in the book of James. He shows me things I have to change in my life.
God wants us good. In fact, "He demands that we must be." James 2"20.
