Somewhere I read where the Book of James is called a book of of the good life. Trust is the basic thought here, chapter 1. It is all about trust in God via Jesus Christ for all things in life, good or bad. When we trust God it brings the good life, verse 2, "with joy." Troubles can be used by God to teach us about ourselves, verse 3, "patience" revealing us as true Chrstians. I want to see myself as patient with God in all things, selling our house, getting stronger, seeing Dean's patience with me and my needs. James is bringing wisdom, verse 5, as another trust we have as true Christians. When we trust we expect Jesus to give us wisdom, as promised. I know I am rambling on. This is a real examination for me and it takes a lot of thought. I am enjoying it. Betty G
