Today, James talks of lacking wisdom. He says just ask God. He gives wisdom when we asks without doubt. Now, just what wisdom are we looking for? I don't know. Is it His will for us? Is it understanding? I know He will direct us to lost items but is that wisdom or just helping? Is wisdom just knowing right from wrong? I'm beginning to think I need wisdom to know what God wants from me. This will take a lot of meditating, I need a lot of conversations with God, and with other Christians. Betty G I am reading J. Vernon McGhee. He is Christian with wisdom from God and a help to me. He says "temptations" and trials are for a purpose. God tests my attitudes, no whinning no complaining, but acceptance that bring patience, which is to produce joy. McGhee reminds us of Romans 8:28, "And we know that all things work together for good to them who love God, to them who are called according to His purpose." James 1:4 is testing us to prove to us we are true Christians by our patience. As for wisdom, when problems come up we ask God for answers and then jump in and think we can solve them ourselves, forgetting God is ready to solve them for us. What happend to asking God for wisdom? This is really hitting me where it hurts. I must trust God and stop this forgetting Him. Betty G
