Did you hear about the 84 year-old lady who talked herself out of a speeding ticket?
She told the young officer that she had to get there before she forgot where she was going.

Makes perfectly good sense to me........

January 24 is Sanctity of Life Sunday and it took Chuck Norris to wake me up to it.
I haven't had my computer all week to keep me up to date and I am sorry to say it but no one on the television seems to know Sanctity of Life Day exists.

Mr. Norris, seems funny to call him this, is very pro-life and very anti-murder for the millions of babies. That is a hard thing to write, that anyone could be in favor of promoting murdering babies before they ever are born. They live in the womb but some people don't believe this.

A quote from Thomas Jefferson, "The care of human life and happiness, and not their destruction, if the first and only legitimate object of good government."
A quote from Chuck Norris, " As long as we have breath, and those in the womb have life, we patriots must fight for American life."

Norris gives nine ways to fight abortion.
One is to "demand President Obama quit fighting to terminate life in the womb, and seek instead to value and save human life."

With our large family, we have welcomed many babies, and some we have not known, but I can honestly say with a glad heart that everyone of them is precious and I thank God to allow them life.

One more word. If we love our Lord God, we will obey His Word. In the early Old Testament, "I call Heaven and Earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life that both thou and thy seed may live."
Deuteronomy 30:19

1. In a human being, the wishbone is located just under the hat.

2.You may not be a star, but you need not be a cloud, either.

3.Some folks are wise, and some folks are otherwise.

This was in a local shopper, and I just liked it.
'Today, we would like to thank Albert for his service to our company.
Albert is someone who does not know the meaning of impossible task, who
does not know the meaning of lunch break, who does not understand the
meaning of the word no. So we have chipped in and bought Albert a

This one, too.
"I see you went crazy at the big summer clearance sale," Wanda comments, as
she looks at all the bags of merchandise her friend, Carol, just brought home from
the store.
"You got that right.....I almost bought their elevator because it was marked 'down' "

I guess you can see I am feeling better about the tests. Now, I want to see Dean have a good report.

If you prayed for good news for me, thank you very much.
I was scheduled for a mammogram and an ultrasound today. First the mammogram went slow but the final word was nothing wrong, so the ultrasound wasn't needed.
Good, good news.
Some of you had encouraged me so much I hadn't worried about it at all.

Dean had tests too this morning but we don't have the reports yet. He had the regular lab work and then a catscan.
For this work, we really aren't worried either.

Thank you again, for your prayers.
Thank You Lord, for your care.

Our mail will slow down now so it is time to cut the used stamps off those envelopes and mail them to the disabled veterans.
Used stamps usually go into the wastebasket but don't throw them, put them into a big envelope and mail them to Stamps for the Wounded
- SFTW/Lions
- P.O.Box 297
- Dunn Loring, Va 22027
You will be thanked with a card from the DAV

Just a short note. I would appreciate prayer.
I had a mammogram Friday and now the hospital wants another one plus an ultrasound. The see a mass and wants to see it better.
At first I was quite anxious about it but now I am thinking it is nothing.
Thank you,

An oops for me!!
The two young people at the Christmas party with us are great grandchildren, not just grandchildren. Their parents are our grandchildren. I get them mixed up most of the time.
They are beautiful and two of five of one family.
