I had a question from a commenter, Mary, why do I question having heat in the future?

This answer is written off the top of my head, bits and pieces of what I have read or heard, so don't ask me for references. You will have to prove them for yourself.

Electricity is necessary to heat homes now. It is made by using steam produced by oil, gas, coal, nuclear. Most of our electricity is produced by coal. And it is said coal will be outlawed in the future.
Solar power which sounds good to me, is very expensive I guess, and is not readily available. Maybe someone else knows something about this.
Windpower, maybe someday. It will take a lot of money, public money, taxpayer money, but remember the USA is much larger that the Netherlands, land of the windmills.

When yoiu consider all this planning and implementing for a country this size, it makes me think that electricity could very well be rationed and very expensive.

Mary, you need to hear from someone more knowledgeable than I am but I do want to get you to thinking about the future.
